Answer:

Newspapers are losing subscribers and ads
Why not create a way so it is more affordable for the customers? Like having volunteers run it? Or even build a team where real people report on news that actually matters to the people in the community?

The oceans are dying
Someone must take the time to make some sort of a youtube video on this crisis. YouTube is viral and can spread word almost faster than any other social media or news sight.

Religions are divisive
Make some sort of a religious alliance group to go out and spread word on how religion should be harmonious and not cause violence, war, or any sort of conflict. Maybe they can create a website that involves peace, or some sort of a campaign for people to become aware of it.

Visual art is too static
Make a gallery where it is all visual art. But make this art CRAZY. Create new ways of thinking towards this art. Use objects or colors you would never think to use together. Draw or paint something to make statements, not just to look pretty. Do something DIFFERENT. Make a website or a video of the gallery and post it on a social media sight.

Student films are always set in dorms
If you are making a student film, go out and film it in the library, or in another building. Do not film it in your dorm. Make a website about student films and give pointers on where to shoot student films.

Educational books are boring
Give kids a chance to learn and a chance to be rewarded all at the same time. If a child reads something or does an assignment he/she doesn’t want to do, after the child in done, reward them somehow. Whether that’s going outside to play or even giving them a cracker, if you reward a child for doing his homework/schoolwork they will want to do more.

You never have a camera when you need it
Who cares if you don’t have a camera when you need it? Whip put that smartphone in your pocket. Unless you are a photographer, you don’t need a super high tech camera.

The spatial dimensions of sound are underappreciated
Work on a homemade invention that accentuates the dimensions of sound and make a project out of it. Give it some public attention, maybe present the idea to a local college or committee for the town.

Centralized economies are unstable
Disperse the power. Make it so that the people who do have power can relate to people like you and me. An alternative source of money is not plausible at this moment as I’ve discussed it in many other New Media classes.
