I choice the Yes Men project titled “DREAMers Keep On Dreaming”, which discusses the Common App. It talks about how the Common Application, used to send in college applications, actually has major hiccups. 95% of all undocumented youth do not go onto a higher education. These undocumented children are those that were brought he by their parents illegally, even though they grew up in the US. The Common App forces those who are not “American” to choose “Other” or “International” when identifying themselves. This means that these children cannot go to school, which in turn makes me very upset. Every child should get the opportunity to go to school. So my solution would be this; to start off with making a documentary. I would tell multiple kids who were raised in America’s stories, and doing it in a very real, very personal way. I would take this documentary, and bring it to every festival I could get in to, and make sure others saw my message. I would also crowdsource, and ask the general public to write letters to our representatives, making them aware that this is a very serious issue. I would ask local colleges to see that this is an issue, and see what power they had over the situation. I would make sure to blow this up on social media, and promote my case with local tv networks and newspapers. I would make sure this issue goes viral.
